A River Runs Through It:
This memorable film was based on Norman McLean's book by the same title. Filmed in Montana it won an Oscar for Best Cinematography. It is always difficult to follow a great book with a great film, but this film stands on its own. Tough, touching, and proud, the story of the McLeans is one of longing, tragedy, and hope. The camera was definitely in love with the landscape and I am forever grateful to be given a film that also became a testament to the rivers I guided on and have kept in my heart for so long. – J.O.
